Curvimeter The curvimeter is an instrument designed for measuring the length of curved and crooked lines plotted on topographic plans, maps and graphical documents.
Specifications Measurement length (scale capacity) …100 cm (39.4 inches) Error in measurement of a 50 cm straight line (and longer) does not exceed …0.5 % Division vale of: metric scale ……1cm inch scale …… 0.5”
OPERATING PROCEDURES Make measurements by rolling the curvimeter tracing wheel on the measurement lines exactly following all the curved and crooked sections of the outline Prior to measuring adjust the pointer to the scale origin rotating the wheel in the sense of measurement. The instrument is provided with an index used for setting the curvimeter to the original point of the line section to be measured.
